Upgrade vs. Updates


Updates include the small changes, minor bug fixes and occasiobnally new features. Upgrades refer to major new releases that may contain many changes, more serious bug fixes, and usiually many new features.

Updates

Tropical Software had a very generous policy of free updates for customers for some time. These may be installed using our "Check for Updates" feature.

Upgrade Policy

Upgrades are major releases, like the upgrade from iAddressX 3 tp iAddressX 4. We are also currently offering 32-bit TopXNotes 2 to all customers at the reduced price of $29.95.

Tropical Support Goals

Tropical Software is dedicated to helping you increase productivity on macOS iPadOS, and iOS. We are also now hard at work on new products for the Apple touch devices and Mac that will take advantage of the latest capabilities. One of our goals in product development is to continue upgrading to take advantage of Apple's latest products and capabilities.

Tropical Software prides itself on the useability of its products. We also understand that our ideas about how to enhance productivity might not always be the same as yours. If you need some assistance or have suggestions for improving our products, or new products you think might work well with our existing products, we want to hear from you.

Future Products for Apple touch devices

Tropical Software was the first developer to move notes from the Mac to the iPod, and is now bringing similar functionality to the Apple touch devices including iPhone, iPad and iPod touch. Please recognize that while most applications designed for iPhone and iPod touch will work on iPad, Apple is constantly changing guidelines and APIs for all of its products. We will make every effort to take advantage of Apple's latest technologies.
